Top BloodTechNet Learning Competition Ideas Invited to Round Two

meet the judges

March 7, 2011 — Today BloodTechNet announced the finalists for the first ever Learning Competition, a unique initiative to find — and inspire — innovative projects that support learning among Canadian medical laboratory technologists interested in Transfusion Science.

Over the past six weeks, numerous ideas designed to improve and broaden the continuing education options available to the transfusion community have been submitted from across the country. With Round 1 now complete, our judges have reviewed, deliberated, scored and ranked the submissions, and decided which top submissions will move on to Round 2.

Thirteen applicants have been invited to provide their project details in Round 2. They will have an opportunity to describe their goals and activities, post samples of their work and respond to questions and feedback until April 11, 2011. Then, in Round 3, MLTs will vote on which project submissions should share the $125,000 fund. The Learning Competition winners will be announced during the CSTM conference and on BloodTechNet.ca in mid-May.

The applicants invited to Round 2 are listed below by budget size:

Large Ideas ($15K - $25K)
